About

all

I am a PhD student at Queen’s University Belfast and I am currently undertaking a project to quantify the impact of climate change on the Order Lagomorpha. This website has been created for lagomorph specialists to validate my predictions of the ‘current’ and ‘past’ bioclimatic envelopes of all 87 species in the Order, so that optimal settings can be chosen for modelling ‘future’ bioclimatic envelopes.

For each species I have included the following information:

  • A map showing the distribution of past and current occurrence records
  • Predicted ‘current’ bioclimatic envelopes (1950 – 2000)
    • (A) Using only modern input data
      • Suitable climate only (BLUE)
      • Suitable climate and habitat (BLACK)
    • (B) Using all input data
      • Suitable climate only (BLUE)
      • Suitable climate and habitat (BLACK)
  • Predicted ‘past’ bioclimatic envelopes (1900 – 1950)
    • (C) Using only modern input data
      • Suitable climate only (BLUE)
      • Suitable climate and habitat (BLACK)
    • (D) Using all input data
      • Suitable climate only (BLUE)
      • Suitable climate and habitat (BLACK)
  • A feedback form to capture evaluation of the different model predictions

Please use the links at the top of the page to search for a species by location or taxonomy.
